Empowering the Next Generation of Female Leaders 

Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and global education advocate, has partnered with Pearson College UWC to create a life-changing scholarship for girls from Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Malala Yousafzai Peace Scholarship will enable courageous young women to pursue a world-class education at Pearson College located on the traditional territory of the SC’IȺNEW (Beecher Bay) First Nation.

Malala’s journey, from surviving an attack for standing up for girls’ education, to becoming a powerful voice for millions of girls without access to school, mirrors the mission of Pearson College: education as a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.

The Impact of Your Gift 

The Malala Yousafzai Peace Scholarship will provide: 

• Full financial support for selected female students from Pakistan and Afghanistan 

• Access to the International Baccalaureate (IB) program alongside 200+ peers from 150+ countries 

• Immersive learning on the unceded lands of the SC’IȺNEW First Nation 

• Mentorship and opportunities to lead initiatives in global justice, education, and sustainability
