Third Annual Pearson Economic Summit

The Pearson Economic Summit aims to advance education with respect to global economics and international affairs for high school students in the capital regional district and the rest of British Columbia.
As the Pearson College student body, summit organizers, and faculty come from over 90 different countries, the diversity of perspectives offered at our summit is unparalleled.
We hope to foster open dialogue and debate between students from the local community and around the world.

Our third summit is entitled "The Global Power Shift: evaluating the role of emerging superpowers in the world economy."

With the constant reconfiguration of global economic power, it is crucial to understand world markets from an international perspective.
As countries such as China, India, Brazil, and Russia begin to have a greater sway in global poitical and economic policy, the implications for Canada and the nations we consider current superpowers will be significant.
